I’m going to Spain in a few days and I’m really excited for this experience. I want to have conversation and connection with people. I want to listen and understand the language.
Over my time of travel, I've learned that communication leads to connection. This is something I'm truly passionate about.

When I say connection I’m talking about the internal and invisible strings that pull people together. The strings that allow us to hear words and understand the deeper meanings of such words.
Think about two friends who give each other a look and suddenly start laughing. Although words weren’t exchanged, they understood the moment. That's connection.
Think about someone who feels sad and tries to hide it; then a friend (or a stranger) walks up and gives a hug. Connection allows us to see past the external and understand what other people are feeling internally.
We were designed to live life connected to God, ourselves and each other. These are three separate tasks. Every time I take a trip by myself, I'm looking for connection; an opportunity to experience God in a unique way and understand myself a little clearer. I still haven't mastered the task of connection with other people, but I want to.

I want to see and be seen. I want to love and be loved. I want to speak and be heard.
When I think about connection with other people, I understand the value is unmatched. For someone to hear your silence, see your absence, and love all parts of you; that's rare. It's so rare that most people will not choose into that. Due to their own bias, selfishness and internal conflict, they will not have the capacity to fully connect with you or anyone else.
So instead of focusing on those you cannot connect with, it is better to focus on those you can. God & Self

I find connection the easiest when I'm doing things that light up my heart. Things like sitting by a fire on a cold afternoon, reading a book while listening to instrumental music, waking up to see the sun rise or spending time in nature without distractions.
These things bring me so much joy.
They enlighten, encourage and empower me.
All my life, I've had this call on the inside leading me to go, travel and experience new things, but due to fear, I stayed still.
I refuse to do that anymore. I listen to the voice on the inside of me and obey. I believe that voice comes from God (cause I'm connected to HIM.)
