A weekend in paradise

It’s not often that someone will pack their bags and go to a different country for a quick 3 day weekend, but that’s exactly what I did.

Work. School. Life. And all the things in between were weighing me down and I wanted a weekend of rest.

So I took off Friday, flew to Cancun Mexico and rested in a beautiful Airbnb in a secluded area close to Isla Mujeres.

This Airbnb is my favorite vacation spot. I discovered this place in March 2024 on my first solo trip out of the country. Although I was nervous to go by myself, I discovered so much peace, safety and serenity in this space.

The trip for 2025 was similar. I knew what to expect and what to look forward to. The glass walls and doors surrounding the studio apartment is absolutely the best part.

This place is paradise and just like all the other trips, I couldn’t stay forever. I came home on Sunday, with an internal cup full of energy and focus. Before the weekend officially ended, I turned in my last project for the semester and went to bed.

This is what restoration looks like and I’m glad I prioritized my time to experience this. I wonder what my next location will be. Follow along if you want to dream and travel with me!
