Letters to a DreamGirl - Envision Your Future

Dear DreamGirl,

One day, you may wake up and realize your heart has changed.

The things that once excited you may no longer fulfill you. You may look around at your life and think, This isn't the life I want anymore. If that day comes, don't panic. Don't settle. And don't believe you're stuck.

I want to remind you of something important: every lasting change begins on the inside before it ever shows up on the outside.

It starts with your mindset.

Before you can build a different life, you have to be willing to see it.

The word envision means to picture something in your mind—to imagine a future that doesn't exist yet but has the potential to become reality. God gave you an imagination for a reason. He can use it to help you see beyond your current circumstances and into the future He is calling you toward.

So let me ask you a few questions.

When you think about your future, what do you see?

Be specific.

What does your life look like?

What does it feel like?

What does it sound like?

Give yourself permission to dream again. You have permission to envision the life God is leading you toward, even if you can't see it yet.

Envision the college you want to attend.

Envision the career you want to build.

Envision friendships that encourage and strengthen you.

Envision a healthy relationship built on love, respect, and faith.

Envision becoming the woman God created you to be.

Don't be afraid to dream big. Ask God to give you vision for your life and the courage to pursue it. Then write it down. Pray over it. Take one small step toward it every day. Vision without action stays a dream, but vision paired with faith and obedience becomes a journey.

Remember what Scripture says:

"Write the vision and make it plain on tablets... Though it delays, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay." — Habakkuk 2:2–3
